I’ve realized how important it is, and how real it is to speak out loud the things we want to manifest in our lives. Not just big houses and yachts or material goals, but a true comfort and love for who we are.
It’s easy to get caught in looking at someone else and wishing to be them. You don’t notice, but they may be looking at you wishing the same thing.
It doesn’t matter how much money I have or how many goals I’ve accomplished, if I hate myself and I want to be someone else, I will never truly feel rest or peace within me.
We’re in a constant practice of saying internally, maybe even externally, to ourselves that we’re just not quite good enough. The only way to conquer that lifelong conditioning sequence we’ve been in is to override it. To override it we must overpower it by speaking in a larger voice. A larger and louder voice that holds conviction and a truth we desire to be true.
I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and said: I forgive you. I love you. Really (with a smile), I forgive you.
We have to forgive ourselves for the things we’ve done that we wish we had never done. It was a bad move, but it’s ok. You’re still alive. You still have a shot at experiencing fullness and light. You still have a shot. I just spoke about a truth we desire to be true. That’s right here, because you may not forgive yourself. You may still be pissed at yourself for falling in love with that drug addict. Speaking a truth that you desire to be true will eventually become truth. You will eventually let yourself off the hook and embrace the mistakes you’ve made as all part of the beautiful journey so far.
Our whole being is all knotted up, mostly because of what we’re saying to ourselves. I heard that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% what we do with it. How we interpret everything that has happened so far, the talents we have or those that we lack, the features we have or those that we lack, mean nothing until we’ve given them meaning. We’ve just been giving them the wrong meaning.
The simple things we can do to enjoy a life that’s knotless is exactly that, simple. But they require daily practice. Commit yourself to becoming better. It takes work but it’s worth it.
Speak life to yourself every day in the mirror when you wake up and when you go to bed. Do it with a smile. Simple. But so many won’t do it. Wake up from the fog. You are not your schedule, you are not your routine of daily to-do’s. You are a human and there are some things you need to grow. Loving yourself and telling yourself about it are a couple of those things. You must believe there is power in your words. True power. The power to resurrect and the power to destroy.
I love you. And, I love me 🙂
